Registry.pol syntax
I'm building a local policy framework where the user can choose the different tweaks for Windows7. Now I'd like to build my own registry.pol files. The problem is that there is no good description of the syntax around. The only thing I found about creating my own registry.pol files is a Microsoft MSDN article which describes the different values. But it is impossible to create my own .pol file whith that information. Also I found no examples. Please help me

Hi, The registry.pol format you can refer this article: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/Aa374407 And you can use registry.pol viewer to view the content: http://www.gpoguy.com/FreeTools/FreeToolsLibrary/tabid/67/agentType/View/PropertyID/87/Default.aspx Please Note: Since the website is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this information. Furthermore, since write registry.pol is the tech of MSDN, I suggest to contact MSDN forum for further help: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-cu/category/windevgeneral The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us.
