HI,
I have installed MS XP with SP1 on one of my PC, where afterwards whenever i am trying to run Windows update or install any software e.g. Office 2007 or yahoo messanger, i am gettig an error " REGISTERY EDITING HAS BEEN DISABLED BY YOUR ADMINISTRATOR" Please
advise the solution of that.
The user i am logging in as only one user which have admin rights.

1. This is most often symptomatic of infection so start here:

2. XP is up to Service Pack 3 now so your computer is seriously unpatched. Once you are sure the computer is completely virus/malware-free, bring your computer up to date by installing SP3 and all subsequent Windows and Office Updates. Download SP3 without
going through Windows Updates.
