after running the installfor win 7(I used a 40 gig maxtor)I noticed that the install created a 200mb partition which hosted?(system files?) when i went to reformat the hd back to ntfsI noticed that i had lost 200mb of the hd and even a complpete fdisk it was still short those 200 mb ...to fix i had to dban and zero fill the drive then reformat to ntfs and then use partition magic to add those xtra 200 mb to the partition. it seems as though win 7 wouldnt let go of that xtra partition it created. I love totrouble shoot reformates and this one almost got me. any ideawhat win 7 uses those 200 mb forand why would xp not see that even after a full reformat?Anyone else have this problem? I currently use XPas an operating system as it is the most stable version of widows that I have used to date.
