The error report below in the applications event viewer is associated with a problem that occurs reqularly overnight. The problem that occurs overnight is that in the windows security centre 'change the way security centre notifies me' greys out, the firewall cannot be opened and gives a message that there is an unidentified problem, and if stopped the wmi service cannot restart and gives a message that there are insufficient resources. Also, the tabs disappear from IE8, the offsets disappear from Acronis Drive Monitor and the sound drivers disappear from Sounds and Audio Devices. I suspect that there may be other aspects to this problem that I have not noticed. The problem disappears on rebooting.
