Recovering administrator's password
I'm my computer's administrator. I forgot my password. I can not remember. I tried to solve the problem using SAFE mode unsuccesful.Also i can not open cd tray either. I'm sure it is secure too. Please HELP :o1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi Elgini,Now you just have 2 options left with you!1. If you have another account in the computer which has Administrative Privileges, then access that account and open Command Prompt. In the Command Prompt type "net user Administrator *" after which you would be asked for a new password for Administrator Account.2. The second option is that there few Password Reset Disc's / ISO's available online which you can burn from a different computer and then boot the computer using the same. After booting the computer using the CD's you would have options to reset the Administrator Password as well. Internet is wide, I know the names of the reset disc's but cannot take them here. Unfortunately, I'm the only account w privileges. I have no choice but use password reset discs her comes another problem i can not even open disc tray. I'm sure another security issue. Thank you again for your time.

In order to use the disc tray, you would notice that there is a very minute pin hole below the tray. Insert a needle in the same and the tray would eject out. It might have got stuck up somewhere.Saurabh Yadav | Email removed for privacy

Want to reset XP admin password?Here are 2 options to change lost administrator password without learning it. Hope they can work for you!Option 1: If you can log on your laptop with an administrator account, you can change the password following the steps:1. Right-click Computer to select Manage.2. In the coming Local Users and Groups screen, double-click Local Users and Groups, and then click Users.3. Right-click the account that you need to reset the password for, and then click Set Password.4. Type and confirm the new password.Note: you can also go to Local Users and Groups screen by clicking Start button and inputting lusrmgr.msc into the Search box.Netplwiz.Start system and when you see Windows Welcome screen / Login screen, press ctrl+alt+del keys twice and it'll show Classic Login box. Now type \Administrator\ (without quotes) in Username and leave Password field blank. Now press Enter and you should be able to log in Windows. Now you can reset your account password from \Control Panel - User Accounts\. Same thing can be done using Safe Mode.
