Recovering a delted user's files . . .
Random explanation: But my ex-girlfriend removed her user from my PC (windows 7) when I was not there. It had holiday photo's on it that I want. So I was understandibly miffed when she had removed it. How can I get the files back/restore them? I have installed
stuff on my computer since, so may have lost them permanantly :s

The only way I know of is with a system backup that included the lost files. Otherwise, I don't know of any way because of activity on the hard drive since then. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Try Recuva . Install it on a different disk if you can. But as Rick said, if there was a lot of write activity it may well be gone. This is why its important to regularly back up any important
data you may have.

The best way to proceed is to restore your system state using a restore point that dates before the appearance of your problem.
