Recover Bitlocker partition on external post-SNAFU win7 installation
Summary: I deleted the Bitlocker partition(s) on my external HDD (Hitachi) while installing windows 7 enterprise.
Info:
Running: Windows 7 enterprise on HP pavilion dv7 laptop
Internal HDD: 500gb with 3 partitions
External HDD: 2TB with I think 2 partitions
What happened:
Reinstalling windows 7 on internal HDD, but accidentally deleted the bitlocker partition(s) on the external that was still connected to the laptop.
Instantly unplugged external upon realizing SNAFU, did not let windows reformat the external partition(s), just "deleted" the partition from the installation window
Tried using testdisk & easeus to recover partition, but to no avail. Can recover huge chunks of data from external, but cannot read or decrypt those huge data blocks.
In short: Is there any known solution that can help me with my current situation? I want to restore/recover my data from the external. I know they are still there because I can recover the data chunks. I just can't access/decrypt the data.
Any help would be appreciated.
