Recent updates crashed 2 laptops
I'm filling in as back up and our recent Microsoft updates crashed 2 M6500 dell laptops. One won't boot the OS and the other won't open the IE8, the event logs, and keeps popping up with a MOM.exe -bad image error complaining about ieframe.dll. Does anyone
have any ideas on how I can start troubleshooting this? I'm guessing that the updates caused the issue as I don't have proof yet. I'm running diagnostics on the laptop that won't boot but I'm not sure what to do with the other one. Our tech guy is out and
I'm grasping at straws. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is my job but need to figure something out.

bad image means a 32bit application is loading a 64Bit DLL.
Maybe your IEframe.dll is damaged.
Please start the command prompt (cmd.exe) with admin rights [1] and run sfc [2]:
sfc.exe /scannow
Is it able to find and repair broken files? Does this fix the error message?
best regards
André

I tried this, but it won't repair the iefram.dll. I have PGP on this laptop so I'm going to try to decrypt the hard drive and try your solution again. Thanks for the suggestion!

It said that the Ieframe.dll was damaged and couldn't be repaired.
