Received junk email from my own email address
I'm using MSN on Windows XP and today I received an email from my own email address. When I opened it it was an add for Viagra. It's like I'm sending my own self spam. I'm trying to figure out how someone can do this and prevent it from happening again. I use Norton Internet Security and nothing was found after doing a scan. Thanks for your help.1 person needs an answerI do too

HiIt has nothing to do directly with your computer.Email is not sent directly in/out from our computers to the destination. All our email activities are going through the email server of the email service providers. The spammers find ways to "mess around" with the servers. The spammers harvest email addresses and fake the from addresses, it is a way to avoid some anti-spam filters. That said you should scan your computer periodically just to make sure that there is No Trojans, and Malwares sneaking upon you.
