Reactivate after CMOS date problem?
I've recently found that my CMOS battery has failed, and after rebooting, Windows 7 Beta x86 thought my system datewas set to the year 2020. It promptly deactivated itself, and has stayed "expired" after resetting the date properly and multiple reboots. Is there a way to re-activate Windows 7 Beta, or will it require are-install to fix this? (Please no, I don't wanna reinstall again!!) Thanks in advance for any help offered... UPDATE: I applied for a second product key through the website with another Live account and attempted to change the product key to resolve this, but end up with the following error: Code: 0xC004E003 The Software Licensing Service reported that license evaluation failed.

You are probably going to have to reinstall. I would image that Microsoft has a hard code somewhere to ensure that people dont use the beta indefinitely by just resetting the system clock.
