A mayday signal for assistance!!! I've installed Win 7 on a mb that is labeled 'Windows 7. It does not access the internet though it accesses a LAN. Xp and Visita have been installed and no problems arise accessing the internet. I've updated the Linksys router's firmware, but no success in accessing the internet. I've read numerous online articles addressing the the very problem I've encounter and implement the various suggestions without gaining access to the internet. Help, help, help! Hi, Please follow the steps below to check this kind of issue. 1. Disable the firewall. 2. Ping a public DNS name to check whether the IP address is returned. 3. Check whether obtain a proper IP address form DHCP server. 4. Ping the gatewall.
