RSS Feed not sync'd between IE8 and Outlook 2007?
For years I've used Newsgator with Outlook, but I thought with W7/IE8 I'dgive the nativefeed manager a whirl. So far I'm not impressed and I don't know if the problem lies with Outlook, IE 8, orW7.First I imported my feed list from Newsgator, which worked like a charm. In Outlook 2007 SP1 I then deleted some duplicate feeds, feeds I didn't want any more, and created a few folders to help organize my feeds. Feed management withoutOutlook was fine, although I didn't see where I could change feed properties like polling interval, attachment management, etc. I then open IE8, show my feed list, and I'm surpised to see none of my changes in Outlook copied over. Old feeds were listed, no folders, etc. Thereappeared tobe nosyncing between changes made in Outlook and those in IE8.As I undertand it,they both rely on the same RSS engine,so this disparity between the two views is troubling. But I found I could change feed properties, although I wasn't able to multi-select feeds and do mass property changes. Is the lack ofsyncing betweenIE8 and Outlook 2007by design, or a known problem with IE8, W7 orOutlook 2007? In a perfect world I thinkany changes to feed properties, folders, or feeds should be common to all programs relying on the RSS feed engine. Also, is there any online service to sync feeds between computers which integrates with the Outlook/IE8 feed engine? Newsgator could sync between computers, which I found very helpful. Thoughts?

I believe the issue lies more with IE8 than Outlook 2007. The reason for this is that IE8 is still considered a Beta itself and not in final form. Does it also exhibit this behavior in VIsta with IE8 and Outlook 2007? ~Alex T.~Windows Desktop Experience MVP~

This is the first time I've used the IE8/Outlook RSS integration, so I have no idea if this happens with other versions of the OS. I just won't use IE8 feeds for now and hope that it gets fixed in the RTM releases. If no, then I will go back to Newsgator.
