RNDIS device unreachable after drivers installation
Hi All, We are working on a Windows based application which needs to communicate with a Linux based device connected to it via USB cable by establishing a RNDIS interface. The device has a set of drivers which enumerates it as a multi-function gadget along with RNDIS, mass storage etc. These drivers are installed by our application installer along with app. binaries. We are using a co-installer to manage drivers. If the drivers are installed successfully, the device allocates an IP address to the RNDIS interface using DHCP & then device can be pinged from the PC. Our problem is that while all this works perfectly on Windows XP, on Windows 7, after installation of the drivers & app., the device becomes unreachable..cannot be pinged. If drivers are installed manually (not through installer), the device can be pinged. So there must be something wrong in the installation process on Windows 7. What are we missing..? What are the things to check for? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, How did you install drivers manually? Are these drivers compatible with Windows 7? According to your description, this should be mostly related to the application or drivers; I suggest you contact the device manufacturer for further investigating. Hope it helps.
