It puports to come from microsofthelpdesk but as it has an attachment and the date means nothing to me, I am very wary of opening it. Does anyone on here know what it is all about ? is it genuine ?Have you contacted Microsoft and are you waiting for advice or assistance with a problem? If so, it is possible that Microsoft might send you a Hotfix file, to resolve a specific problem. Otherwise, you should assume that the email did not come from Microsoft. The usual precautions apply. Never open any unexpected file attachment. And if in doubt, delete the message.
