Does W7 Pro include RDS CAL's? Can one purchase CAL's for RDS for W7? Thanks

I've seen no evidence that Windows 7 (any variant) can be used as an RDS session host. It does have remote desktop services capability, but as far as I know, only one user can log in at a time, supplanting the console session (the physical console goes to the login screen) if a user logs-in remotely. I have always thought that Windows Server (e.g., 2008) was required.Am I somehow missing the meaning of your question?-Noel

What, that they put "Applies To: Windows 7" near the top of those first two articles? I saw that. Note that the tutorial involves both client and server computers. I believe it means a Windows 7 system could function in the Remote Desktop Connection client computer role. It's notable that we see no mention at all of Windows 7 at the third and fourth links you provided.Remote Desktop Services -> Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration are conspicuously absent from my Windows 7 Ultimate Administrative Tools menus. I strongly suspect that if Microsoft were going to propose Windows 7 in a "Server" role we'd have heard more about it. The single RDS session limit, on the other hand, is right in line with what XP and Vista offered.-Noel
