RDP sessions timeout/freeze (..and AD MMC)

Hello!

We have a problem with RDP sessions to our servers hangs/locks after a while. On some servers they don't at all. If I try to open a session window that hangs, I'm unable to control anything, but clicking and then wait for about a minute I can continue where I left of. We also have the same symptom using the Active Directory MMC snapin.

Anyone know if/where there is a setting for something like this?

Hi,

Do you mean you have RSAT installed on your computer, and when you try to open tools in it, the computer hangs?

To check is this performance related, you may open performance monitor and check whether this issue is caused by lack of memory or CPU.

In addition, please also install update rollup 2975719. Here is more details about the UR:

Remote Desktop session freezes when you run an application in the session in Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2

Cannot see anything in the event logs that may point to this. Haven't tried using the tools with a local user. Only domain user. I will test this

Yes, using RSAT Tools. Only some RDP sessions freeze, no other performance issues.

KB2978367 already installed.
