RDP over wireless VPN connection does not work
I recently installed Vista on my laptop ((HP 6120, clean install, Vista Business). Before Vista, Windows XP Professional was installed on it. Under XP I could make a wireless connection, create a VPN connection over and start an RDP session to any of our clients over the Internet(standard XP VPN functionality to ISA servers) After installing Vista, creating a wireless connection works. Creating an VPN connection (standard Vista functionality) 'seems' to work. But running an RDP connection over it, just does not seem to work! I rechecked this by installing another machine (PC), equiped with a WLAN card, but the problem persists. By using a standaard connection (wired LAN) on the machines, everything works fine... By checking the routing table, everything 'seems' fine (not really used to IPv6 yet...); there is a (IPv4) route to the VPN network. Creating a route manually kills the VPN connection..... I searched on the Internet for a solution but so far i have not found any item regarding this issue. The Vista help function also gives me no 'hits' when searching for this problem..... Has standard routing behavior changed for this kind of function since XP? If so, how do I correct it? Is this my inexperience with Vista or is this a bug? Thank you for your attention.
