RDP not working in Windows 7 x64 SP1
Hi,
We have windows 7 x64 Sp1 systems in domain network
Since last few days we face RDP connection problem.
Till now we have checked and verified following.
1. Uninstall and reinstall KB2621440
and KB2667402
2. There are no logs in event viewer regarding RDP connection.
3. Also the RDP port 3389 is not listening and shows blank using command
netstat -abn | findstr 3389
4. Verified the registry settings
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\ fDenyTSConnections to 0
5. Turnoff\Disabled Windows Firewall

please turn the firewall back on and add port to the firewall.
then please check router has the port in it with right IP
If it has the right port with right ip, please try restart the router.
let me know how it goes.

you add the port to inbound right?
please check registery
that you have right registery for port
HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\control\terminal server\winstations\rdp-tcp
scroll down and find portNumber
if you see that you have 3389 or something else..

Hi,
Based on my research, please try the following:
1. Select Dont allow connections to this computer in System Properties, restart your Windows 7 and re-enable Remote Desktop.
2. Open Device Manager and show hidden devices. Check whether Remote Desktop Services Security Filter Driver under Non-Plug and Play Drivers is enabled or disabled.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
Does the issue also occur in other Windows 7 machines in the same domain?
Also, please try the following:
1. Test the issue again in Clean Boot Mode.
2.
Change the listening port for Remote Desktop and see how it works.
3. Check whether
resetting Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) can help you.
Hope this helps.
