RDP issues in a windows 7 environment
Hi there, i have got 2 PC´s: #1 win7 64bit professional #2 win7 sp1 64bit professional Both pc´s are in the same workgroup in a home network. Remote Desktop access is granted! My Problem: Can´t access via RDP from #1 to #2. steps already tried: - checked rdp port listening on #2 - checked remote desktop service is running on #2 - firewall deactivated on #2 - sucessful rdp connection from #2 to #1 Any suggestions? Hi, According the issue, I want to know whether you get any error message when you access #1 to #2 via Remote Desktop? Please preform a Clean Boot, and check the issue again. Then we can narrow down the problem if it is caused by a third-party software. Hi, sorry for the delay! The error message is the standard text: can´t etablish remote connection to ... bla bla On wich machine should I perform the clean boot? on #1 or #2? Thanks, André

Hi andre, Please try clean boot on #1. If the issue, you may run "netstat -a" in command Prompt, output the result to a TXT file, then upload the file via SkyDrive, and post a link here. Hi Andre, Sorry for the delay! Since this problem is a network related problem, I suggest that you may capture network package on both two client: You may capture network package by following steps: 1) Download NetMon3.4 from the following website and install it on the computer http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=983b941d-06cb-4658-b7f6-3088333d062f 2) Launch NetMon3.4. 3) In the Microsoft Network Monitor 3.4 window, click Create a new capture tab … 4) In the new tab, select all the Network Adapters in the Select Networks window. 5) Then, switch to Network Monitor, press F5 to start NetMon. 6) Try to repro the issue. 7) Go back to the NetMon window and press F7 to stop the NetMon. 8) Press Ctrl+S to save the Netmon file named test. 9) Upload the file via SkyDrive ,and post a link here.
