RDP in Windows Vista
I'm using IE9 to connect to a remote computer via SBS. The remote computer is running Windows Vista Business SP2. I connect to this computer via two local computers, one running Windows 7 SP1 (IE version 9.0.8080.16413), and the other running Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 (IE version 90.8112.16421). When I connect via the Win7 machine, alt-tab shortcut works on the remote computer, as I'd like. When I connect with the Vista machine, alt-tab controls the local computer instead. I can't find any settings on the local machines that controls this; am I missing something, or is this a Vista bug? Thank you, Joe

its definitely not a vista Bug. GOT TO start>all programs>accessories>remote desktop connection, click the local resources tab,i the keyboard section, under "apply windows key combinations" select "on the remote computer" in the dropdown list.Goodluck.Dont forget to mark as answered/helpfulTunde Abagun MCP,MCSA,MCTS,MCITP en p "for the love of Computers"

My "apply windows key combinations" was already set to "on the remote computer", and this does work if I use mstsc.exe directly for connecting to a remote computer. However, it doesn't seem to if I have to connect to a remote computer via IE9. Since I can't connect to this remote computer via mstsc.exe directly, I can't test for this specific machine, but I have had success in the past with other machines using this Vista local computer.Joe

Joe then this narrows down the troubleshooting to IE9 or SBS.Look for similar settings there Tunde Abagun MCP,MCSA,MCTS,MCITP en p "for the love of Computers"
