RDP Not working anymore - initiating remote session constantly displayed.
My RDP connections through MSTSC.EXE do not seem to be working anymore. There is nothing that I can think of that has changed that would have changed it's operation. The port for RDP that I use is 4297, for inbound connections and I seem to have no problem connecting to my home PC from outside on the internet, however, I cannot connect to others PC's to their port 3389 either within the LAN where remote desktop is enabled, or through my company VPN (which connects), but the RDP to 3389 to my laptop at the office does not. I have power cycled my cable modem and my Cisco/Linksys wireless router (the machine I am connecting from though is wired to the router).

Hi, Does the Remote Desktop Connection window pop up after typing MSTSC in Search box? If so, is there any error message when making a remote connection? Please post the detail error message here. Based on current situation, please try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue. 1. Temporarily disable firewall and antivirus program on each machine for a test. 2. Upgrade the NIC driver. If the issue persists, please bypass the router and connect to DSL Modem directly via wired cable, and then connect to the company machine via Remote Desktop again. What’s the result? Thanks, Novak
