RDP 6.0 won't connect to Tserver
*Hardware* I have2 Windows Vista Ultimate editiondesktop computers and 1 Windows XP Pro computer. I just recently purchased a laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium. *Problem* At work, we have a terminal server that I need to connect to from outside the office. On my Win XP Pro computer, I have no problem using RDP 6.0 and connecting to our Windows 2003 R2 Standard edition Terminal Server. From All 3 WinVista computers, I cannot connect at all. I receive the following error message. "This computer can't connect to the remote computer. Try connecting again. If the problem continues, contact the owner of the remote computer or your network administrator". *Attempted Solutions* I have shutdown all softwarefirewalls, I have added in exceptions for port 3389 for bothTCP & UDP. I have tried running RDP through the "run as administrator" command. I have changed the authentication options and still no connection. I have searched around on the internet for solutions. I came accross an article stating that the MSLicensing folder needed admin permissions to write to the folder for that license, so they said to try using RWW. I don't think we have RWW configured for the terminal server that I need to connect to, so no go there. I have tried the IP address and the DNS name, and same result. I know our Windows 2003 R2 Standard edition server works fine with Windows Vista as we have several users using their Windows Vista laptops from outside the network. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I didn't want to believe it, but it is in fact my hardware firewall. I removed it frommy network today, andI was able to connectwith my Vista computers. Strangely enough, it allows access to go out with an XP computer, but it doesn't allow access to go out with any of the Windows Vista computers. I do have port 3389 open to go out and in, why it's blocking the Vista computers... compatibility issue, or configuration issue? It's a Netgear FVS124G, any suggestions on this would be great.

Maybe this might pertain... http://blogs.msdn.com/wndp/archive/2007/07/05/receive-window-auto-tuning-on-vista.aspx ...or its an MTU issue... http://kbserver.netgear.com/kb_web_files/n100603.asp
