RDP: Vista Ultimate to Win 7 update, unable to remotely connect
Upgraded a Vista Ultimate Desktop to Windows 7. Unable to create a RDP connection from remote machines. Other machines in same environment that have clean Win 7 installs not migrated from Vista have the same properties, ip addressing in the same networks can connect with their desktops. Our RDP properties are all the same. Since the Registry was migrated from Vista to Win 7 could there be a registry setting? or an old .dll? Could I reinstall Terminal Services from scratch, and how would I do that? Any assistance would be appreciated. Best Regards, Eagleman10 Eagleman10

Hi, Perhaps your Remote Desktop Setting is set to “Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication .” Please kindly set it to “Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop” to try. Could you please tell me what kind of Remote Desktop the remote computers use? For details information, please kindly refer to the following link: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc732713.aspx
