RDC mac to win7 keyboard layout issue
i've seached a bit around here, but can't really find the proper place for questions about rdc for mac, but anyways, i'll give it a go. i've also tryed with connections to a win7 64bit system, that's why i chose this forum. But the issue is that the keyboard layout is english when connected, even tho the mac is Danish, and so is the end machine. I tryed looking in internationals cause i thought it might have changed the layout, but it didn't, it dosn't even show english (which i removed) so only Danish layout is available. but still the keyboard acts as if it were english, and i've not been able to find any solution to this so far. But it means that i have to copy/paste & every time i wanna write something, which to me is not a viable solution in the long run. i might have posted in the incorrect forum, but correct me if i'm wrong.

Hi Nicolaj82, Thank you for posting here. Are you trying to remote Windows 7 from Mac? If so, please understand that this issue is a Mac issue we cannot resolve this issue on Windows' side. It is recommended to contact Mac support to resolve this issue. Thank you for your understanding. Hope it helps.

Hi Robinson Zhang, This is not a problem of Apple, the problem is actually the Microsoft RDC 2.x software that runs on mac that maps always an english keyboard. It seems that Microsoft doesn't want to fix that problem because this problem is already known sinds 2007 I hope someone of microsoft read this topic to fix the software, I have this problem with a VDI environment that use RDC 2.x for mac to connect to windows XP and windows 7 machines, as Belgian people use belian azerty keyboards this is a big problem Greetings, Bart Moons

Have there been no recent developments on this? I too have this problem, working off an Icelandic keyboard layout on the Mac side (OSX 10.6.7) but when I get to the Windows-side (Win7 Enterprise) through RDC (v2.1.0) they keyboard strokes map out to be those of the English layout (which prohibits me from effectively using the < and > characters for web development). I'm really skeptical about this being a Mac issue and would love to hear more about it... especially since some people have actually written their own scripts to circumvent this for their particular keyboard layout issues, I'm sure Microsoft can come up with something.
