RDC from WEB not working
HI, I have a computer with windows 7 in a small office using it as server. RDC is enabeled and all 3 other computers ( wired with LAN) in my office can log onto this computer. But when I try to RDC from out of the network by putting the IP address(not the local Ip 192.168.1.2 but the IP address as obtained from canyouseeme.org) the message comes that 1. Remote access to the server is not enabeled 2. the remote computer is turned off 3. the remote computer is not available on the network. If without using RDC I put the IP address in Internet explorer then it opens my router ( means that it is reaching upto my router) . I have opened port 3389 and redirected it to the IP of my server. When I check port 3389 it is not blocked by ISP. Can anybody shed some light on what is wrong ?

Hi, You may temporarily disable firewall and antivirus first. There are three options in the Remote Settings, please pay attention to your remote computers Network Level Authentication. May I know that do you have a domain on your current local network, and these computers are domain clients or domain controller? I suggest you RDC to the server with your office computer with public IP address adding port number 3389 like IP:3389 or not adding port number for testing. In the meantime, you need create a user account which including Remote User groups to have a further test. If this issue persists, you may change the 3389 port with registry.
