Hello. I went to set up a share on the windows vista laptop I have. It is connecting to dlink DIR-655 router wireless connection. Vista Actually Sees my XP box without problems. can use the files in the XP shares. The Problem I have is that everytime I try to enable the "Public Folder Sharing" in the Network and Security Center I am always getting am "RPC Server is Unavailable". And it refuses to actually allow it to be enabled. So. How does one fix the issue.I have a feeling if I could get that RPC server error to go away I would actually be able to have the XP box see the Vista box.***Edit* Nevermind. I found the problem. Someone had turned the "Server" Service to disabled on the gf's laptop... Took a little bit to figure out exactly what I was looking for. But now both the vista box and the xp box are playing happy and seeing each other on the network and exchangeing files both ways.
