RC1 - Problem with Telnet
I've enabled the Telnet client (and Server, just to be sure) and can Telnet my router from a Command Prompt window to get the router's BusyBox sign-in message and prompt but there seems to be a limit on with window's input buffer (There was no problem in XP):At the router's Busybox prompt (#), and trying to type the following, the text I've shown in italics is as far as it gets before the entire window locks up accepting no keyboard input (not even Delete or BS) and the [X] and system menues being the only ways 'out'....# cat /proc/avalanche/avsar_modem_statsAny ideas, please? Thanks,John.

[Sorry for following up my own post again!]After some investigation, I've discovered that this problem is related to another problem with the Netgear DG834(g) routers - namely, the routers don't display some of their own pages fully in the browser. The solution to both problems is to change the Network Adapter -> Advanced setting, Speed & Duplex from Auto Negotiation all the way down to 10Mbps Full Duplex. It looks as though the Auto Negotiation is setting the speed to 100Mbps (the green LAN led on the router confirms this) and it must be borderline for these routers - although why it works ok in XP is a different question!Given the flakey LAN connection - which presumably affects all internet activity as well - I guess there's a trade-off between lost packets when running at the auto-negotiated 100Mbps or the potential bottleneck when running at the manually-defined 10Mbps.On the theory that reliable communication is the better, I'm going to run at 10Mbps and see how it goes.John.
