RAR/ZIP/Compressed music files have broken text when unpacked
Hello. I had some music files that were archived in to rars and zips, and when unpacked the language is broken. INFO Running OS: Windows 7 Professional OS Language: English Language for Non-Unicode Programs: Japanese Language of files in archive: Korean This is a very weird situation, and I'm sure only people whom experienced this problem could understand the frustration and maybe have a solution. I run Japanese Non-Unicode for programs that do not run otherwise. The language of the files in the archive is Korean and comes out broken with Japanese characters in them. I don't read Japanese. What I've tried. Obviously running non-unicode in Korean will fix the darn thing but I can't change that back and forth. (Which will be more annoying) I've tried using applocale on the archived file in Korean and unpacking them. Failed. I've tried using a specific Korean unarchiver. Failed I've tried using a thirdparty program called "Vistalizer" that installs specific languages in to the OS which supposedly fixes these types of problems. Failed (Or I did something wrong) Help meh!

1. Have you enabled non-unicode languages? 2. What tool(s) do you use for un/archiving? 3. Give try to 7-zip http://www.7-zip.org/ Rgds Milos
