Question about Tooltip Popups
First off; my apologies if this is the wrong forum to ask this question in, I did look through the other Windows 7 areas and didn't see any area this would fit in specifically. I'm asking on behalf of a member of www.SevenForums.com who is having issues with his tooltip popup messages: link to original thread . Just to summarize here; it seems as though any tool tip popup (such as drive and file information in Explorer), doesn't show up for long enough to read any of the data. We've been looking for a way to alter the tooltip display time hoping that might resolve the issue, but so far haven't had any luck... Any other suggestions on what to try / check regarding this?

Hello,Boot the computer to clean boot mode and see if the issue persists:Clean Boot================1. Click the Start Button type "msconfig" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search box, and then press Enter. 2. Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray). 3. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK". Then, restart the computer. If the issue persists, test the problem in a new account: 1. Click the Start button, click Control Panel.2. Click User Accounts->User Accounts.3. Click "Manager another account" and click "Create a new account".4. Input the user name, select "Computer administrator" as the desired account type, and then click "Create Account".5. Restart your computer and log on as the new created user account. Thomas77
