Query about Event ID 10061 (The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch permission for the COM Server application__with ....)
Hi, I get two 10061 event id's every 10 or so minutes :The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch permission for the COM Server applicationwith CLSID {24FF4FDC-1D9F-4195-8C79-0DA39248FF48} and APPID {B292921D-AF50-400C-9B75-0C57A7F29BA1} to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool. AND The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Serverapplication with CLSID {0C0A3666-30C9-11D0-8F20-00805F2CD064} and APPID {9209B1A6-964A-11D0-9372-00A0C9034910} to the user TDMG\craig.holmes SID (S-1-5-21-4283261247-1099726999-352182820-1113) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool. When tracking down the APPID's, the first (...BA1) is the "NAP AGENT SERVICE" is the second (...910) is the "Machine Debugger". The thing is, this is the same on all Windows 7 machines, and I don't really want to go around and edit the COM security on each. IS there a way to do this through GPO? The machines are in a domain but only show SELF, SYSTEM and [nameoflocalmachine]\Administrators. Should they not show DOMAIN\ADMINS? For the Machine Debugger error, where its trying to run under the userid, should I add Domain Users? Any guidance appreciated. RegardsCraig

I have the same problem mine says: The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {0C0A3666-30C9-11D0-8F20-00805F2CD064} and APPID {9209B1A6-964A-11D0-9372-00A0C9034910} to the user david-PC\david SID (S-1-5-21-129233243-4181758481-1372938948-1001) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool I followed the article that you mentioned but it did not solve the problem. For the first solution step 2 says: Locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\CLSID value Note In this subkey, "CLSID value" is a placeholder for the CLSID information that appears in the message I find no HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\CLSID\{0C0A3666-30C9-11D0-8F20-00805F2CD064} there to make any changes. In the second solution the Allow check boxes for Local Launch Remote Launch Local Activation Remote Activation are already selected . So what is the next step?
