Quad-monitor in Windows7 supported?
hi gurus, i just wanted to ask what are the hardware requirements for supporting 4 full-HD monitors in Windows 7. i was able to use extend my desktop to 4 monitors at 1920 x 1080 resolution each monitor in Windows XP. but in Windows 7, only 3 monitors can be enabled. when I tried to enable the 4th monitor, it will disconnect the other one... here's the machine spec. ----------- CPU: Intel Xeon W3503 2.4GHz Mem: 4GB (2GBx2) DDR3 Video: nVidia Quadro NVS 295 256MB DDR2 (PCIe x16, DPx2ports) x 2 ----------- should it be that the video card is the bottleneck? any ideas? thanks jojeru

Hi, I have 4 monitors connected to two nVidia Quadro FX 1700 - Windows 7 support 4 monitors..I think, that problem is in drivers - have you latest drivers for your graphic cards? You must set up your monitor configuration in windows dialog "resolution settings" (right click on desktop). Also, you must have 2 monitors attached to one graphic card (no 3 monitors to one graphic card, etc) Have you enabled SLI? SLI is not recommended to monitors configuration with more than 2 monitors...

problem solved. i downloaded the latest driver released last aug2 from nVidia and not from Dell's site. that was pretty weird bug though. it seems that they haven't tested that driver on that configuration.
