QOS fix for Windows XP Pro 2002
I am trying to increase my Bandwidth down from 427 to 512 which is what my ISP is providing for me. I see there is a tweak to change the percentage down to 0 percent gpedit.msc. However when I get to admin templates I am unable to find Network. Any ideas?1 person needs an answerI do too

Where is the advice you are following, who is your ISP and what method did you use to measure your bandwidth? What I usually do for bandwidth suspicions is call the ISP and find out what speeds are being paid for (let's say 50M download), then ask their tech support to help verify it and how would they like me to measure it (what do they use)? Then while they are on the phone, use their method and if it is not what you are paying for, make them fix it.I am just hoping you are using some real measuring tools so you can compare your performance before and after making adjustments... You know - to rule out the subjective "It sure seems faster now!" kinds of things. I suggest you measure it.In GPEdit, right click Administrative Templates, Add/Remove Templates.Usually, you would see:confinetressystemwmplayerwuauClick Add and it will open a folder where you can Add the missing components to match the usually in there list, or to match the list on some system that is working properly.Reboot to make sure the changes stick. Each component has a story you can Google for more information.
