Putty works well on Win7 32-bit and 64-bit. I am doing almost all my Linux server administration via ssh using Putty from Win7 64 and Win7 32. Be it on the LAN or connected via VPN over the Internet putty has no performance problems in this scenario. Even running an X-windows session via putty/ssh is working nicely like in native Linux/Unix. Probably your problem stems from a basic networking problem unrelated to Putty. First - over what network with which speed do you connect? And what are your ssh servers you connect to? Wolfgang
