Purchasing Product Keys
ok, so I've already brough a copy of Win 7, but it seem like the product key is the same as it was with vista, and is only good for one computer at a time, so i was wonder if its possible to just buy the key without the software, since i really don't feel like paying a full $188 again for it, cuz i would prefer to have it on both my desktop and laptop if at all possible

ContactMicrosoft directly and see what they can do for you. You were aware they had a family pack available right? Course its a little too late now. Another option your probably hadn't thought about is just getting a technet subscription, its $349 the first year and $249 thereafter (for the download option US). My wife said it has been the best purchase decision I've ever made. For the amount of money you'll end up spending for 2 licenses, you could have saved money with Technet subscription plus that gives you software for almost any product Microsoft makes. Here's just a small example: XP Professional and Home edition, all versions of Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, 2008, Small Business Servers, Office 2002 (XP), 2003, 2007, 2010, Visio, etc etc etc. You just download what you need and when you need it, An extremely good bargain in my opinion. Plus you'll get free web training sessions that will give you 90 days access to. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/default.aspx. In fact my wife reminds me when its time for me to renew :D MCSE, MCSA, MCDST
