Hi,Never use or purchase a used Retail OS. Is the XP Pro disc that you pertained to a retail or volume License Key copy? Do you have any idea about that? Please tell so I could help you.

If you don't know enough to answer Jaycee's question, you don't know enough to purchase a used copy of XP from Craigslist and you are probably going to get burned. If you need XP, buy a retail copy which you are sure is genuine. Amazon.com still sells them. If the computer for which you need XP is a branded OEM machine (Dell, HP, Sony, etc.) then contact that company to purchase recovery CDs.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
