Purchase a used copy of XP Pro
Remember - This is a public forum so never post private information such as email or phone numbers!Ideas:Someone is selling a used copy of XP Pro. Used only on onecomputer. Has original paperwork. Has new computer so does not need this copy any more. Is it wrong for me to buy it and use it? What is my exposure? Hi,Never use or purchase a used Retail OS. Is the XP Pro disc that you pertained to a retail or volume License Key copy? Do you have any idea about that? Please tell so I could help you.

If you don't know enough to answer Jaycee's question, you don't know enough to purchase a used copy of XP from Craigslist and you are probably going to get burned. If you need XP, buy a retail copy which you are sure is genuine. Amazon.com still sells them. If the computer for which you need XP is a branded OEM machine (Dell, HP, Sony, etc.) then contact that company to purchase recovery CDs.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
