Publishing Oracle E-Business through UAG

Hi All,

I'm investigating publishing Oracle E-Business as a web application through UAG. The E-Business webpage itself is configured as https://servername:portnumber

I've test published this utilising Other Web Application (portal hostname), successfully published the webpage, but I believe the portnumber on the url links in the application is causing UAG's Host Address Translation to fail. Can anyone confirm if its possible to publish with the port number on the end of URL, or if this needs to be removed?

Thanks

To use custom ports, you need to be running at least UAG SP1 Update 1 version...

Cheers

Hi Jason,

Sorry I should have mentioned, I'm running UAG SP1 Update 1, with TMG SP2. Will the HAT work with a url with the ports on the end?

Did anyone get any further on this? We're looking at 40K worth of F5 equipment - I'd like to think Forefront could do the same job :)

Hi John,

We did get a resolution on this in the end through raising it with Microsoft. They provided a custom update of the WhlFiltSecureRemote_HTTPS file, so it was placed in \Program Files\Microsoft Forefront Unified Access Gateway\Von\Conf\Websites\<trunk name>\Conf\CustomUpdate

It appeared that the parser settings were defined in the XML configuration, and not taken from the UI 'Content-Type'

After placing the custom update in the directory, we added 'text/.' 'application/x-javascript.*' and 'application/xhtml+xml' in 'Search and Replace Using Content-Type' on the Trunk settings\Application Cusomtization tab.

Hi Chris,

Are you able to post what the updates to the WhlFiltSecureRemote_HTTPS file included please? We're having a similar problem and after packet captures and HTTP tracing I still can't see why it's not able to load the Oracle Java components when it's being accessed through UAG.

Many thanks,

Chris
