Proxy Settings tied to saved WiFi connection

I often marvel at how Microsoft will come up with some of the neatest, unusual features, while completely overlooking (or ignoring) the obvious ones.

Why is there no way to add proxy settings to individual WiFi properties so you don't have to go and manually change them everytime you go to a different location.  Phones and tablets have been able to do this for years.  Wouldn't you expect the same behavior from an OS that is (arguably) far more advanced than a smartphone?

Apologies if this comes across as snarky, but it is just the sort of annoying oversight Microsoft makes that just baffles me. Particularly when they have made such an overblown effort to make Windows 8 into a touch based portable operating system.

Consider netsh function or Powershell.

Hi,

To set proxy for your network connection, you can open IE option and set the proxy which you like.
