Proxy Setting not applying in Windows 7 Systems via GPO
Hi all, Proxy Setting not applying in Windows 7 Systems Via GPO DC : Windows 2003 Clients : Windows XP and Windows 7 In Windows XP Systems its working fine, But in Windows 7 Systems Proxy Setting Policy is working for some time and it will disable. Hi The proxy settings policy applied for some time and it will disable after some time. The steps are as follows · Open Active Directory Users and Computers and Right Click the Test OU and Properties à Group Policy Tab à Click on New. · Right click the Policy and Click on Edit. · User Configuration à Policies à Windows Settings à Internet Explorer Maintenance à Connection à Proxy Settings à Select the Enable Proxy Settings and Mention Proxy address. · Close the GPO and run the gpupdate /force in Both the Server and Client. · Check the IE Proxy Settings on the Client System. Hi All, Problem solved by doing this activity Please verify the Windows Management Instumentation Service, It should be set to Automatic and started. If Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service cannot be started, you can use the following method to repair this service: Step 1: Verity the repository ==================== 1. Click Start, type “cmd” in Start Search box, and right-click on cmd.exe in the programs list, and choose Run as administrator. 2. In the open window, type in the following and press Enter. winmgmt /verifyrepository Step 2: Rebuild the repository ======================= 1. Click Start, type “cmd” in Start Search box, and right-click on cmd.exe in the programs list, and choose Run as administrator. 2. In the open window, type in the following and press Enter. net stop winmgmt /y cd %windir%\system32\wbem\ ren repository repository.old If the issue persists, you can run gprsult /z to verifies all policy settings in effect for a specific user or computer.
