Yeah, I think I'm having the same issue, I think it might be a Windows Ultimate feature (but that's a long shot). If it is a Windows Bug, I want them to fix it, cause it's annoying not being able to start a DHCP Server service, or add any other protocols, services, or clients to our netork stack. I'm seeing exactly the same problem. Also on Ultimate. Anyone have an answer to this yet?

Actually, in my case, at least, the reason for the problem was that I was trying to plug a network switch into a cable router that didn't have a DHCP service. The Switch was pinging the Router, which then got to the Comcast Gateway, which gave me a valid IP address, for their subnet. That, and one of my pet rats bit through the DC power cable, sometime after I had given up troubleshooting.I got a wireless router (which usually have 4 ports plus 1 input port) that I've used before (Linksys 'g' spec router) wired my computers to it, wired my Xbox to it, and BOOM Dhcp magic. Now if only I can get my Linux Sabayon box to RDP or use VNC or NX to allow for remote desktop.... (So far, I've gotten various errors. My next step is to try Tight VNC, but I think I need to kill `krdp`, first.)

The uninstall command netsh int ipv6 uninstall, issued from command prompt, fails as listed in kb555577 from MS. No such command exists is reportded I found an easy way to get rid of ipv6. Go to device manager click on ms tun adapter, right click and select uninstall and continue. I tested my internet conection on all 4 system on my router. Also was able to ping each one and also the router. Worked for me! Call to MS was dismissal. They wanted to refer me to technet for a fee. This works and is free.
