I am planning to teach Windows 10 to a group of user. I only have 1 computer which is my laptop. The user will use this laptop during the course. My computer runs Windows 8. This is an introduction course to Windows 10.

Problem: I am concerned that user may modify files and settings in guest OS during my course.

My proposed solution: Create a standard user account. Then I create a Hyper-v vm (Windows 10). User can just play with this Hyper-v's vm. After demo, I just delete this user account.

Does my proposed solution sufficient to fix the problem?

If not sufficient, what is your proposed solution?

An easy solution would be to backup my files. Format my laptop. Install Windows 10 in my laptop. Create Hyper-v vm (Windows 10). User plays with Hyper-v vm.

This is the solution:

I will backup all my files into external harddisk.

I will create administrator user so that there will be no problem when student uses my computer. For this administrator user, I will create Hyper-v vm (Windows 10).

Student will play with this Hyper-v vm. (Windows 10)

If student accidentally change my file, I still have the backup in my external harddisk.
