Proplem with sharing
i am new to vista and win 7 sharing stuffi just installed win 7 i used to have win xp sp2so it was easy to share but here i dunno how toand when i do share files it says"your folder cannot be shared"any solution plz???

Well i right click it then i choose share with.. homegroup(READ)

You get this error on each folder or on specific folder?What is full path of folder you want to share?

every folder i try with does the same thingand nothing is weird with their names or anythingalthough it was easy in xp ... ??

Ok butI do not get error if I share files in this wayDo you did some changes on windows 7 settings or this is new install?What version you use 32-bit or 64-bit? Did you got id from windows 7 official website?give me the path of one folder that give you error when you try to share its contentSharing options are controlled from Network and Sharing center you can open from control panelI hope your network type is not public networkTry this:1. Go to control panel2. Click on network and internet3. Click on network sharing center4. set you network to home networkThen1.While in network and sharing center click choose homegroup and sharing options2. Set options you want3.Click on change advanced sharing settings and set your preferencesThen try to share folder you want againI hope this solve your problem

i sure did i installed programs and etc32 i guess . yes . E:\Media\games\PES 2009its between me and some neighbours..

You need to set ip, mask and gateway correctly. Turn off firewallBetter make new clean install
