See if your msinfo32 works...Click Start, Run and in the box enter:msinfo32Click OK, and you whould get a System Information summary window. If you do not see the information, do you see an empty box where the information should be?Run your System Information function manually by clicking Start, Run and in the box enter:sysdm.cplClick OK and describe what happens.Don't guess what the problem might be - figure it out and fix it. Both your options opened up windows. I created a desktop shortcut for MS info. Can I do the same for sysdm.cpl? As it stands now, if I open up the control panel, still can not get some basic functions to work, such as adjusting or establishing new user accounts

What does "doesn't work" mean exactly? Nothing seems to happen, empty white box where this information should be, etc.I cannot recreate your problem exactly (some of it I think I can) but I would follow these steps to reregister some DLLs that may have come updone somehow.Click Start, Run and in the box enter the following commands one at a time. Click the OK button to execute each command one at a time: regsvr32 jscript.dllregsvr32 nusrmgr.cplregsvr32 /i mshtml.dll (may generate a harmless warning message depending on your environment)regsvr32 themeui.dllregsvr32 vbscript.dll Reregistering the DLLs is okay even if they do not need reregistering.See if you stuff works better now.
