Programs can't use mapped network drives
Hey, For sync and back-up I use a thrid party program which I was already using in Win XP. To sync some network computers I mapped the shared network drive to a drive letter. In XP I could use the drive letter without a problem as a source/target location for the sync and back-up program. Unfortunatley this doesn't behave the same way in Win7. The program is unable to find the drive letter, it's saying the drive doesn't exists. I've tried to run the program as administrator, but without any luck. I found this thread but I can't use that solution. Is there a way to solve this problem? I can enter a full network path e.g. \\computername\sharefolder\subfolder but I'd rather use the drive letter option. Thanks! H-V

Hi, Regarding this, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Please run the program with Compatibility Mode or Run as Administrator to see how it works. 2. Considering this program may be not designed for Windows 7, please try the latest version or the one which is for Windows 7. If the issue persists, it is also recommended that you contact the software company to see if they have some constructive suggestions, since they are familiar with their product. Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT
