Programs can't connect to the internet (utorrent, Chrome Installer, etc)
Alright, last week I had to re-install Windows 7 on my laptop and now all torrent clients and programs that need to connect to the internet no longer work.
For example, utorrent can't connect to any servers or peers.
The Google Chrome installer keeps saying failed to connect to server so I can't install Chrome..
The only programs that connect online are Skype, Firefox, & Internet Explorer.
I've disabled and removed my firewalls and nothing seems to work.
With utorrent I get this error " Connection failed error: A request to send or receive data was disallowed because the socket is not connected and (when sending on a datagram socket using a sendto call) no address was supplied.
Last week everything was working fine before I had to re-install Windows 7. Help please!

check your firewall settings (mcafee, ....) for chrome, ... (note you might have more than one firewall active); ensure that they/it get/s full access (not just outgoing).
also if chrome is slow consider two solutions:
use chrome in 7 Pro's virtual XP run chrom as administrator: chrome icon->properties->compatibility->Privilege
