Since yesterday I use Windows 7. Like under Vista I have problems running some programs with this OS; the program starts, the taskmanagers confirms the running of it but it stays invisible. This is now the case with Safe 'n 'Sec Pro + Rootkit, a legal version. Who might help me with that? Thanks a lot in advance. kjd-nld

kjd-nld -You might want to check two places... 1.) Check the balloon that pops up on the system tray from that upward facing arrow that hides unused icons. 2.) Once you've got the balloon open, click the Customize link and look for the program to see what status the apphas there. You can have it a.) show notifications onlyb.) hide icon and notificiationsc.) show icon and notifications.If the hide icon and notifications is selected, it won't show up anywhere except task manager under Processes. Also keep in mind, this app appears (according to the system requirements as shown on CNet's download.comthisapp only supports the x86 versions of XP and Vista. There's no mention of x64 support, and it may not work with Windows 7. The last update online was in 2007... If that still doesn't help, you could try uninstalling it and reinstalling it using compatability mode. Right-click on the installer, select properties, click the Compatability tab and tell it to run it like it's running on Vista SP1. If that still doesn't cure the problem, you can look for another AV solution on Microsoft's list of Windows 7 compatible security solutions found here.
