HI,

I recently bought a wacom tablet: I have windows 8.1, & 64bit OS. The tablet should be compatible with windows 8 however an error message comes up when i try to install/run it( its a software driver application type called "WacomTablet_6.3.11w3(1)" : this is the error message that comes up--> "windows cannot access the specified device,path or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item"

I also already tried to run as administrator with the same error message happening as well. Help please I dont know what else to try: The program compatibility "test" found that my device is incompatible, however it says that it should work on windows 8. How can I fix this problem?

I tried the software download, and I also tried using the CD which came with the product-- both lead to the same error message

Have you tried re-installing the driver?  Have you tried contacting the maker?

Thanks for your response. It doesn't let me get to the part where I can "click" install. When i run the application directly from the "Downloads folder" it begins extracting files, then the error message pops up. I havent contacted the maker yet so I will do that.
