Problems with wireless connection using WPA-PSK security
Hello,I tried to connect my new netbook ACER 1810TZ (Win 7 64 Bit) to my router Siemens SX541 using WPA-PSK security. Unfortunatly it didn't work, also several other Vista and XP machines were able to connect. I double checked the password phrase without any success.Next I tried to update the driver on my netbook and the router firmware, again without any success. So I switched off security and (suprise) I was able to connect...AsI switched back to WPA-PSK again it didn't work. But it seems that the password is not the problem, because if I entered a wrong password I got an immediate response. If I entered the correct WPA-PSK password then the passsword dialog disappeared and it took several seconds till I got the response with a messagelike "Connection was not possible...."Any idea?ThanksMartin

Hi Martin, Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Update the wireless NIC driver. 2. Update the routers firmware; if there is some other wireless network secured with WPA-PSK, please check if you can access it. 3. You may contact your computers (or your wireless NICs) manufacture to confirm that the wireless NIC supports the WPA-PSK. Hope this helps. Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT
