I'm having problems with a couple of games that crash on startup with Directx problems. Dxdiag also won't start as I'm getting an error "C;WindowszSysWOW64\d3d10.dll is either not designed to run in Windows or it contains an error". I've tried reinstalling directx several times with no effect. my video drivers are up to date. Open start menu and look for a folder with the laptop company and restore or recovery options. You may be able to restore it with the recovery program from your computer manufacturer. See the documentation.
