Problems with Peer to Peer MS Word 2010 and Windows 7
I have a problem with MS Word 2010 saving when combined with WIndows 7 in my offices Peer to Peer network. Small office Peer-to-Peer network, with one computer holding the client info. All computers Windows 7 (64-bit), using MS Word 2010. Memory is not an issue, few applications are running, and all computers have Quad Core Processors, huge hard drives and at least 4 GB of RAM. Not an add-in problem, as that was the first thing checked. It is not a data execution prevention problem as that was also checked. The permissions are open to all the users so that is not an issue either. Even the computer where the share folder is residing cannot properly save the file in the share folder. Common error messages that pop up on all the computers are: "Memory is too low cannot save" & "File in use, cannot save." However, there are no problems with saving the file onto the desktop and then dragging it to into the shared file. This problem occurred almost overnight as of about 2 weeks ago. All was working well before then.

Hi, I would like to verify if you installed any programs or updates before this issue happened? These issues may occur for the following reasons: 1. A non-Microsoft application that is installed on your computer uses an outdated kernel-mode filter driver. 2. A third-party file system filter driver interferes with other filter drivers. 3. The VERITAS Backup Exec Advanced Open File Option (Vsp.sys) filter driver is loaded in combination with an antivirus filter driver, such as one of the following Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 8.0 filter drivers: Symevent.sys (Symantec Event Library) Navap.sys (Symantec AutoProtect) The file that causes this issue is the SystemRoot\system32\drivers\Vsp.sys file. I suggest you disable the security software and perform a clean boot to check the result. If the issue persist, you could perform the System Restore. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/help/videos/fixing-a-problem-using-system-restore Also, please contact Office Forum to confirm if they have better solution regarding the issue. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/officeappcompat/thread/6d894bfd-78be-49c2-9954-6d86491a8408 Best Regards, NikiPlease remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
