Hi All,

I'm facing a problem with Windows 8.1 Pro and a Window Phone 7.8 Wi-Fi hotspot. 

To be more specific, I'm used to connect to my Mobile Phone by using the Wi-Fi hotspot feature of the phone.

Recently I have installed Win8.1, it connects to the WP7.8 hotspot but it is not able to identify the network, thus it doesn't give access to the Internet.

I already done the following tests:

1. Reset TCP/IP by using netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt  (not working even after reboot)

2. Connect to the WP7.8 hotspot both with a Windows 7 and another mobile phone (both connect to the Internet)

3. re-install wireless network adapter drivers and reset RCP/IP

4. install and re-install vendor-specific network adapter drivers and reset RCP/IP

5. change metered connections settings

6. network automatic diagnose
